One of my fondest memories of my childhood stay in Korea involve munching on crisp violet-hued watermelon slices on the front yard of my grandma’s country house. We would buy the perfectly round Korean fruit from the ridiculously loud farmer trucks that drove by everyday, loaded with fresh picked watermelon from the local farm.
